holistic coaching

There are many types of coaching.

Of course, there is athletic coaching, helping an individual or a team to learn specific skills in order to move toward a goal for ultimate performance.

There is life coaching, where a coach helps an individual understand what her goals are, typically be helping her dig deep into analyzing what she truly values in life. A life coach can help an individual make decision to support his/her deepest desire, and also to change habits to move toward her desired life.

In education instructional coaching helps teachers to improve their teaching skills. This may look very different depending on whether the teacher is a novice or highly experienced.

professional coaching

Professional coaching

Beyond athletic, life, and instructional coaching, there is a wide range of other types of coaching which I will call professional coaching. There is executive coaching, or leadership coaching, typically for high-level executives to improve their interpersonal skills. Developmental coaching helps people to think with more complexity and become more adept at leading themselves and others. In-house coaches work for a company to help individuals and teams work more effectively.

Holistic coaching

I am a holistic professional coach. I guide professionals to become more effective and efficient. In my case, I take a holistic approach to coaching. I believe that all aspects of one’s life are interconnected. It is unrealistic to only focus on one’s professional life, because one’s personal life matters!

increase wellbeing

When you change one aspect of yourself, such as your social interactions, it changes and affects all other aspects. Without a holistic approach, improvement in one area may actually damage another, which isn’t sustainable. In order to have an excellent career, one needs to be well in all aspects of life. Therefore, I combine professional coaching with life coaching and instructional coaching (if you are an educator). I draw from multiple theories and approaches to do what works for you.

Most importantly, I place wellbeing at the center of professional life. I guide professionals to become more effective and efficient while also increasing their wellbeing and the wellbeing of those around them.
